THE NEWCOMER’S SIDE OF SATURDAY

You moved here.
Now live a little.

Moving to Minnesota? New keys. A new route home. A Saturday with nothing penciled in. Leave a little room for something besides unpacking.

Whiff brings four adults together for six planned activities over twelve weeks in Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Minnesota. Same circle, a different reason to get out the door.

First circles forming in Minneapolis and Saint Paul.

AN IMAGINED SATURDAY

01 / 03
Paper and gouache illustration of moving day boxes and a new set of keys.

The boxes can wait.

You’ve learned the route home. Saturday is still wide open.

Turn the page.

THE PART WHIFF TAKES CARE OF

One hello.
Then a few more.

Answer a few questions about your interests and availability. Whiff puts a compatible circle together and plans the activities. You don’t have to build a social calendar from scratch.

  1. 04

    The same adults

Small enough for a proper conversation.

  2. 06

    Plans to share

Something to do while the ice breaks.

  3. 12

    Weeks to return

Enough time for “again?” to mean something.

Platonic. For adults 21+. No swiping.

WHY THE SAME PEOPLE?

Friendship needs
time together.

Researcher Jeffrey A. Hall studied how shared time relates to friendship. His findings give us a reason to care about the next meeting, not just the introduction. They don’t establish a universal timeline, prove Whiff works, or promise that six outings make close friends. Our part is to make showing up again easier.

A FEW TWIN CITIES POSSIBILITIES

A whole city beyond the route home.

A lap around Como Lake. Coffee along Grand Avenue. An evening spent taking a board game far too seriously. Small plans can change the shape of a week.

OUTSIDEThe Chain of Lakes, at conversation speed.

AROUND THE CORNERNeighborhood coffee in Northeast.

ACROSS THE TABLEA game night. A little friendly competition.

A few possibilities. Each circle’s plans will vary.

A LITTLE LOCAL KNOW-HOW

A FEW THINGS BEFORE YOU GO

Still unpacking the idea?

Do I have to know anyone already?

No. That’s the idea. Whiff brings a small circle together around interests and availability. Newcomers and longtime locals are welcome, and Whiff takes care of the plans.

Is this a dating thing?

No. This is about platonic friendship for adults 21 and older.

When can I start?

Our first circles are forming in Minneapolis and Saint Paul. The App Store and Google Play links are coming soon. Downloads aren’t available here yet, and we can’t promise a start date or an immediate match.

What does it cost?

Membership is $19.99/month after a trial of 7 days; activity costs are separate. If you can keep the four of you together for all six, the sixth one is on us. Read the details.
